Advantages of using glass rods

Our main raw material is glass in the shape of rods, which has many advantages:

• We can use different types of glass depending on the rods we purchase: borosilicate glass, soda-lime glass, colour glass, etc.
• If we need to change our product range, we simply start heating up a different rod and that’s it.
• We can produce samples of the same shape from different types of glass using a single mold.
• Shaping from glass rods is achieved at lower temperatures compared to shaping from hot drop. This allowes us to reach high surface quality and desired overall shape of the final product.
